The new iPhone’s antenna issues seem to be giving Verizon sleepless nights – especially because they are supposed to offer network to the iPhone starting January next year. At least that’s what those anonymous tipsters have been claiming. According to a recent report, Verizon has been insisting on getting an internal antenna provided on the new CDMA iPhone that is expected to launch early next year. While there is no word on the specifics, it is being assumed that Apple has agreed to those plans lest the next iPhone launch goes as awry as it did this time.
The tipsters don’t seem to stop at that. They also go a step further and claim that the CDMA iPhone will come with a larger 3.7-inches display screen and a faster 1.2GHz processor. Before your jaws drop, do note that these are rumors from some “anonymous tipsters” and that this is many a time a euphemism for shameless link-baiting.
Nevertheless, if Apple were to in fact make these changes to the new iPhone, I’m sure it is not going to be called iPhone 4. After all, you can’t have two specifications for the same device.
