Verizon is launching a new feature phone from Samsung that is going to be targeted heavily at the heavy-texters. The new Samsung Intensity II will bring some great specs for the price – a horizontal slider QWERTY keyboard, a 1.2-Megapixel infrared camera that includes night vision functionality and a 2.2-inches screen that packs as many as 240×320 pixels of display resolution. The phone is also integrated with a lot of social networking features, music player and Verizon’s Navigator software. The handset will be available in metallic blue and deep gray colors and is made partly from recycled plastic.
The device is still not available in the market and according to Verizon, the phone shall be available in the “coming weeks“. Anyway, when it does, you may have to shell out $49.99. And that’s after a $50 mail-in rebate.
