Starting July 17, StarHub customers in Singapore can get hold of the new Samsung Galaxy Beam Smart Projector Phone from stores. As you can infer from the name, one of the most impressive features of this Samsung Galaxy phone is the DLP Pico projector that lets users to project text and images from the phone to a wall.
Here are the most notable technical specifications of this device – Primarily, the device contains a 3.7-inch WVGA Super AMOLED device. The phone runs on Android 2.1 and is equipped with a 8.0-Megapixel camera, 3G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. The camera also comes with auto-focus and flash. Battery life is standard at 7 hours of 3G talk time and 530 hours of 3G standby-time. Of course, there is also a DLP Pico Projector from Texas Instruments. This projector is capable of projecting screens anywhere between 5 inches and 50 inches.
Finally, the device is also integrated with augmented-reality app, Layar that allows you to check out restaurants and bars in the vicinity, find events in the area, etc.
