Eking is launching a new handheld in the market after quite a while. The new E5 is an UMPC that will bring a nice looking device with a sliding form factor that is priced very much on the higher side. Before you have a look at the price, check out the specifications.
The Eking E5 comes with a 5-inches WSVGA display that is packed with 1024×600 pixels. The display is noted to be sourced from Sharp that can be tilted and slided down to open. Take a look at the picture below and you will understand. Other specs on this good looking UMPC include a 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Z515 processor, a 1GB DDR2 RAM, a SSD storage space of 16GB, a 3-megapixel camera and support for Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G connectivity. The Eking E5 is powered by a 2600mAh battery that can last for a reasonable length of time.
The device is going to be shipped directly from China and so expect the total price for those outside the Dragon country to hover around the $800 mark. That’s a lot, right?
