OlivePad VT100, India’s first 3G based Android tablet computer is launching in August. This was announced by Mr. Arun Khanna, the Chairman of Olive Telecom, India. Speaking at the launch, Khanna said that the new Android based device shall be available via the Tata Croma stores across the country starting August this year.
Here are some of the technical specifications that we have learned about the device. The OlivePad is a tablet PC that will come with a 7-inches TFT multitouch display that shall be powered by a 512MB RAM and a 512MB ROM. Other specs include a 3-Megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and support for GPS navigation, voice and video calls. Web browsing experience would be perfect with support for Flash and the device is also equipped with a miniUSB port.
There is no mention about the price for now. Hopefully, it wouldn’t be too high for the price conscious Indian market.
