Tariq Krim, the founder of JoliCloud has announced that the version 1.0 of the cloud-based operating system that is built specifically for netbooks is now available for download. Users looking for a download link may head to the JoliCloud website here to download the Cloud operating system.
Unlike traditional operating systems, this Linux based operating system runs from the JoliCloud servers. This means that users will be able to seamlessly access their saved files and folders from any netbook device that has the OS installed. Of course, users may also save their files on their local hard drive, if they choose to. However, synchronization is thus a critical part of this operating system and with a 700-app directory, users can lay access to a good number of value adding software.
JoliCloud may be accessed via any HTML5 compatible web browser and is compatible with a wide array of netbook models. The download file itself measures 695MB. If you are regularly on from your netbook, do give this OS a try and let us know how you find it.
