If you have downloaded Apple’s latest iTunes 10 multimedia software, you are likely to see some errors while you plug in your iPad to the device. Many users have been complaining that searching for updates on iTunes 10 with a plugged-in iPad results in a discontinuation of the search along with an error message 1631 that reads, “iTunes was unable to search for updates for the network operator settings for your iPhone.”
It is either a typo with the error message or it is that the iTunes is unable to differentiate an iPhone from an iPad. Either way, the error is not very significant at the moment considering that the next iPad update is not expected before November of this year. Nevertheless, this is another embarrassing bug that has afflicted Apple products in recent times.
