Prominent publisher of scientific and medical studies, Elsevier, has announced the launch of a new smartphone mobile application that will allow surgeons and other medical practitioners to have a “quick review” before conducting a procedure . The application is especially aimed at those clinicians “who may not have studied or conducted a procedure for a period of time the ability to prepare for, perform and follow-up on the most common procedures required in today’s hospital setting.”
That sounds ominous from a patient’s perspective. But if medical practitioners indeed require an iPhone app to revise their medical procedure lessons, at least there is something available. The Procedures Consult iPhone app is now available on the App Store at a purchase price of $39.99. Alternatively, users may also access all of this content from the smartphone’s mobile web browser. The application comes with text, illustrations and videos that is expected to be of great help.
