Social Gaming Network have announced the launch of their Skies of Glory aerial dogfighting game on the Android platform which will now allow users on the iPhone and Android handsets to set up multiplayer clashes between them by connecting via a 3G, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth network.
This is not the first cross-platform multiplayer game for iPhone and Android though. Engadget points out that other gaming applications like Raging Thunder 2 and Homerun Battle 3D too have this functionality to compete against an iPhone or Android user.
According to SGN CEO Randy Breen, his team will work on extending the availability of the game to many more mobile platforms. He says that the idea is to make platform and devices irrelevant while connecting with friends to play multiplayer games.
Here is a short video trailer of the Skies of Glory game. If you own an iPhone or Android device, go ahead and play this game with your friends on one of these platforms.
