Google Latitude iPhone App From App Store Available Now

After a painfully long wait, the Google Latitude app for iPhone has finally been approved and is now available for download from the App Store. Long time users of the service will remember that the application was first announced way back in February 2009. Since then, the war of words between Google and Apple meant the application, along with other services like Google Voice never made it to the App Store. During this period, Google Latitude users had to make do with the alternate web application.

This approval was always on the cards after the application was approved to the Japanese App Store last week. Mysteriously though, the app was pulled soon after. With the service now being approved universally, it is time to rejoice for Google Latitude users.

If you are one of those, you may download the application from the App Store by clicking here.
