Another netbook visits the FCC. And this time, it is from the New York based Coby Electronics Corporation. The new Coby NBPC1330 netbook does not do anything extraordinary. But it is packed with hardware that should satisfy a lot of our user requirements.
The Coby netbook comes with a 13.3-inches screen with an impressive TFT LCD display. With quality content rendering on the 1024×600 pixel resolution screen, the netbook should be good to use. The device runs on an 1.6GHz AMD Athlon NEO processor powered by a 2GB RAM. Other features incorporated on the new Coby netbook include a 160GB hard drive, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and an HDMI output port. One complaint is definitely the 3-cell battery that cannot offer more than 3 hours of power back up.
Since the netbook has just been approved by the FCC, we are still not aware of the pricing and availability details. But now the regulatory checkups are done, expect a formal announcement in this regard pretty soon.
