Intel is working with PC manufacturers to launch the next generation netbooks equipped with dual core Atom netbooks and according to reports on Liliputing, Intel is working hard to get the price of these netbooks down to the $349-$399 range.
These netbooks are expected to come with 1GB DDR3 RAM, up to 250GB of storage space and displays between 7″ and 10.2″.
According to sources, the effort is targeted at making the single core processors all the more affordable. A sub-$400 price range for dual core netbooks could push down the price of single core netbooks much lower to the $250 range. While we already have a few manufacturers selling netbooks in this range, the focus is on making this the norm rather than an exception.
