Asus Netbook With Slot-In Mobile Phone

Asus is developing a new netbook that will come plugged with a mobile phone. The idea is to share the SIM card and data account between the user’s netbook and mobile phone. The mobile phone will also serve as the 3G communications module for the netbook.

According to reports on The Inquirer, the phone module is being sourced from an Israeli company called Modu. These mobile phones shall come with a variety of phone shells that one can replace to match the color of your clothes or add-in additional features like camera.

Sounds like a needlessly complex, yet great idea.
