Looking to purchase a new Android smartphone? Google has now introduced a new Google Phone Gallery section that will users do a side-by-side comparison study of the the features on the various Android powered smartphones. This new section replaces the older Nexus One page that was available on Google.com/phone. At this point, the Google Phone Gallery is not expanded to all countries. Countries that the Phone Gallery will cater to right now include Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Singapore, Spain, UK and USA.
Announcing the launch on the Google Mobile Blog, Ben Serridge, Android product manager wrote,
“All the phones in the gallery include Android Market, Google Search, and other Google Mobile services such as Gmail, Maps, and YouTube. There are tools that make it easy to compare phones side by side: you can filter phones by country, manufacturer, and carrier; view and compare technical specifications and features; and find where each phone is available for sale.
We’ll continue adding phones and countries over time, both to round out the gallery and as new phones come to market.”
Do that fast, Google.
