Dw-C, the developer of iWebCamera – an iPhone that will let you use your iPhone as a web camera – has released a newly updated version of the application that fixes several bugs as well as brings enhanced features to this application. The application can be integrated with other apps such as Skype, Microsoft Live Messenger, or any other application where you will need a web camera. The app supports both landscape and portrait modes and the latest version is compatible with the retina display of iPhone 4.

While this is definitely an impressive application that really solves a purpose, there are some things you need to read though. Firstly, this iPhone app requires the iPhone to be connected to the same network as the computer. That also means no 3G. Secondly, this app only supports video and does not take in audio. Finally, the app does not come for cheap and is available at a price of $4.99 at the App Store.
