Vinyl Sticker For iPhone 4 Solves Death Grip Issue
Posted: July 19th, 2010.
By now, you may have realized the ultimate fact of life as rendered by Steve Jobs that smartphones – or at least the iPhone 4 – cannot live without a life support system called a bumper case. Of course, it is free. But there may be a whole lot of you who would hate to carry your iPhone in a weirdly shaped bumper case.
If you are that kind and are also looking at a way to keep the death grip issue at bay, then you should probably check out this innovative solution found on Etsy. This is a simple vinyl sticker that users may patch on to the lower left corner of the iPhone that will help to solve the connectivity issues. Also, the elegantly colored strips could also be a stylish add-on to your iPhone.
Called Antenn-aid, this band-aid for iPhone 4 comes in a pack of six colors – Gray, light-gray, green, blue, peach, purple and is priced at just $4.99. While this is definitely a great add-on to your iPhone 4, I would have loved to see users being offered a choice in colors. I would have definitely preferred sticking a strip on both sides of the iPhone that would make it look better. Â Consequently, I would have liked two strips of the same color.

LOL..You can also put the bumper case around the regular band-aid if you feel embarrassed about the whole thing!

[...] is no denying the fact that the launch has brought about several challenges to Apple engineers. The death grip and proximity sensor issues definitely take the lead, but there are several other challenges too [...]

Now, with this band aid, the iPhone 4 is officially lame. And 4.99? Please! I’ll buy regular band aid from the pharmacy and will cover the whole antenna if needed. Good thing I have a phone that actually works without band aid.
