Spending on video games in the US is estimated to be close to $20.2 billion for 2009. This includes a variety of platforms including mobile phones which is expected to grow from the $4.7 billion in 2009 to $11.4 billion by 2014.

Here is the share of the various other video gaming platforms as measured in a study by TNS and NewZoo. The numbers may not add up to 100% due to rounding

Gaming Console : 59%
PC Games : 17%
Game portals : 11%
Massively Multiplayer Online games : 8%
Mobile : 4%
