The number of American internet users who will access from the mobile phones is surging ahead and the rate of growth is also projected to increase over the next few years. Here are the number of people who will be online via mobile and what percent of the mobile phone subscribers they would constitute is given in braces:

2008 : 59.5 million (22%)
2009 : 73.7 million (26.3%)
2010 : 89.2 million ( 30.6%)
2011 : 106.2 million (35.6%)
2012 : 122.1 million (40.2%)
2013 : 134.3 million (43.5%)
