Total Number Of iPad Apps By Category

The iPad was launched on April 3rd and since then over 600,000 iPads have been sold. Distimo has also noted that there are over 200,000 apps on the App Store now with close to 4,870 iPads apps. Of these, 3,437 apps are iPad-specific apps while 1,433 are universal.
Here is a category-wise break down of the iPads applications (universal plus iPad specific) that are on the App Store today. Do note that this is an updated listing of our earlier article here
