The number of domain names that had been increasing at a terrific pace over the past few years has now started to show stabilize.
Total number of internet domain names at the end of Q2 2009 : 184 million
Growth of 1% over Q1 2009, and 9% growth over Q2 2008
Total number of .com and .net domain names : 93.5 million
Growth of 1% over Q1 2009 and 7% growth over Q2 2008
Total number of country code TLD : 74.4 million
Growth of 1% over Q1 2009 and 14% over Q2 2008
