Internet Traffic From Mobile Phones

Smartphone proliferation is on the rise an so is the internet usage from these devices. As a result, there will be significant growth in the overall data traffic from mobile devices – feature phones and smartphones included over the next few years. Here are some numbers predicted for 2013
Contribution of mobile devices to total data traffic : 30%
Overall data traffic consumption from mobile devices predicted : 2.2 exabytes
84% of this traffic shall be from web browsing
How big is 2.2 exabytes? It is said that this is equivalent to watching 120,000 years of DVD quality videos
