Two websites I use the most when it comes to discovering new content online are Google and Wikipedia. It is so easy to directly jump to the ‘What is’ part of anything if you already have a Wikipedia link on your address bar. Simply enter the topic besides en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ and you are taken to the page. Apparently 9% of internet users are like me – Going to Wikipedia first to discover content. A report from Nielsen shows the following ways as being the most popular
Search Engine : 37%
Portals (Yahoo, AOL,etc.) : 34%
Category Leaders (Eg: CNET for Technology) : 11%
Wikipedia : 9%
Blogs : 5%
Social Networks : 4%
Social media which is the last three things listed totally constitute 18%, which is not bad!
