iPhone OS Geographic Distribution Worldwide

AdMob has published its latest list where it has looked into the distribution of iPhone devices worldwide. The study reiterates what we already know – that the iPhone is most popular in North America where close to half of all iPhone OS devices are sold. And quite evidently, another quarter of all devices is sold in Western Europe.
Here is the percentage distribution of iPhone OS devices in the various geographies
North America : 49%
West Europe : 28%
Asia : 14%
Oceania : 4%
Latin America : 3%
East Europe : 2%
Africa : <1%

Same website posts report from seeking alpha that the number of iphones sold by AT&T totals what is about 25% of number of all iphones sold according to apple. Admob is monitoring advertising clicks and they state that their stats are more for directional change than actual distribution…especially if you factor in iphone v/s other platforms and cultural browsing habits.
