Twitter is no doubt a great tool to share thoughts and track trends. But how many users are active users of the service? A recent study by RJMetrics reveals some astonishing numbers
Users :
Total number of registered users as of Dec 2009 : 75 million
Average number of registrations per month : 6.2 million
Average number of followers : 27
(In)Activity :
Registered Twitter users who tweeted in December : 17%
Twitter users with no followers : 25%
Users who have not sent any tweets : 40%
Users who have sent less than 10 tweets : 80%
