Global Revenues From Mobile Data Ranked By Carriers

Mobile data accounts for 25% of all revenues from mobile services. In spite of Asia leading the pack in the number of subscribers, in terms of revenues, USA still leads the group. Here are the top ten carriers in terms of revenues garnered from mobile data for the first half of 2009:
1. NTT Docomo : $8 billion
2. Verizon Wireless : $7.5 billion
3. China Mobile : $7.1 billion
4. AT&T : $6.6 billion
5. KDDI : $5.6 billion
6. Sprint Nextel : $3.4 billion
7. Softbank : $2.5 billion
8. TMO US : $1.9 billion
9. O2 UK : $1.7 billion
10. China Unicom : $1.1 billion
