Game Console Failure Rate : XBox 360 Vs. PS3 Vs. Wii

First things first – this is not a study from an established market research firm. Independent review site, NoFussReviews conducted a survey of over 500,000 game console owners to look into the failure rate of their consoles. Here are some interesting revelations
Percentage consoles that were repaired or replaced
XBox 360 : 42%
PS3 : 8%
Wii : <1%
Percentage consoles repaired replaced more than once (among those who answered Yes)
XBox 360 : 55%
PS3 : 12%
Wii : 0%
Repaired more than two times
XBox 360 : 39%
PS3 : 8%
Wii : 0%
Repaired more than five times
Xbox 360 : 3%
PS3 : 1%

When I was at my cousins house he had his xbox 360 standing up right on his floor. His dog knocked over the console and after that 1/4 of a foot drop his xbox 360 was dead. 2 years later he had already gone through two xbox’s! Two years later my cousin came over and we played brawl on the wii. He got so frustrated at the game (because he kept loosing) that he pulled on the gamecube controller and the wii fell nearly 5 feet! However it was ok. So this Wii console that apparently sucks because it’s graphics aren’t as god as the xbox’s just got a little better. Thats the other thing that bothers me. People seem to be pushing aside original games with good gameplay for better graphics. Well I got news for ya, better graphics don’t make a better game, or a better game console! The xbox is living proof of that! Now I know what a lot of you are thinking right now. “You are such a Nintendo fanboy, so of course you would be sticking up for them!” Well I got news for you! I have a PS3, and you know something? I enjoy playing on it. I don’t own any first person shooters but I still like it! So just because I stick up for Nintendo doesn’t mean that I don’t like other consoles. Its just that these xbox fanboys are getting out of control.

Remember those Nokia handsets from the 90s? Drop them two floors and they would still work. They were like a rock. On the other hand, the iPhones and Galaxys of today can’t manage well even with a one feet drop. Does that make the decade old Nokia phone better than the iPhone or Galaxy S?

I have had an XBox 360 for about two years now and had no problems, however, everyone else I know has through at least three. XBox still blows when it comes do doing anything, ever.
