Europeans Spend on Technology and Their Technology Handicap

The combined worth of all the TVs, HiFis, speakers, video and DVD players, digital recorders and satellite boxes in their homes is estimated to be worth €362 billion. However, in 24% of the European households, only one person knows to operate all the technology at home. The reason is not hard to see:
49% of households have five or more remote controls
87% of households have three or more remote controls
