This has almost doubled in five years. 22% of users ‘googled’ their own name back in 2002. But recentĀ studies show it has now increased to 47 percent.
53 percent of users also use Search Engines to search for personal and business contacts.

It often helps to find people that you have missed for a while, I was recently searching for my friend who went abroad and by just putting her name in Google search, I get her address back and now we can interact despite the distance.
