eBay sold a majority stake from Skype to Silver Lake group. Here are the details of the transacation:

Value of the company : $2.75 billion

Stakes sold : 65% by eBay
Stakes bought by investor group called Silver Lake (Includes Index Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz and Canada Pension Plan Investment board. )

eBay to receive : $1.9 billion in cash
Principal amount paid : $125 million
Deal to close by Q4, 2009

Skype revenues in last fiscal $551 million (44% growth)
Registered Skype users in last fiscal : 405 million users (47% growth)
