Best Performing Adsense Banner Size

The Google Adsense optimization team recently released a list of the best performing Adsense banners based on the Click-Through Rate (CTR). The ranking was relative and according to their document here is the ranking of the best banner sizes (including the Doubleclick ad units)

1. 300X600 : Half Page Ad
2. 336X280 : Large Rectangle
3. 300X250 : Medium Rectangle
4. 160X600 : Wide Skyscraper
5. 234X60 : Half Banner
6. 120X600 : Skyscraper
7. 728X90 : Leaderboard
8. 180X150 : Rectangle
9. 468X60 : Full Banner
10. 125X125 : Square button
11. 120X90 : Button 1
12. 120X240 : Vertical banner
13. 120X60 : Button 2
14. 88X31 : Microbar
