Worldwide Android OS Geographic Distribution

In its latest report, Admob has compared the geographic distribution of Android OS devices against iPhone OS. While Apple has seen a major portion of its sale in the US, it is interesting that Android is predominantly American. Three-fourths of Android OS sales have apparently come from North America.
Considering the influence that companies like Google and HTC hold in the Asian markets, this is then a huge opportunity for Android to flourish in more markets.
Here is the percentage distribution of Android OS platform in the various geographies
North America : 75%
Asia : 12%
West Europe : 11%
East Europe : 1%
Latin America : 1%
Oceania : <1%
Africa : <1%
