American Facebook Users Age Demographics
Posted: October 7th, 2009.
Close to one-fifths of Facebook users are now above the age of 45, which is interesting because this can potentially be detrimental to one another social network – Classmates.com, one of the earliest social networks where a good majority are the older people looking for lost classmates.
Here is the age-wise distribution
13-17 : 10%
18-25 : 29%
26-34 : 23%
35-44 : 19%
45-54 : 12%
55-65 : 7%
I don’t get it. Isn’t there even a fraction of the population that is above 65 or below 13?

Ohw yes..How did I miss that..Also considering that this data is from what Facebook say, it’s very much the case. Thanks for the point, Alicia!
Wondering about the 65+ users though..

In answer to your question above about there not being a percentage above 65 or below 13, I can answer the below 13 one, as Facebook will not let you have an account unless you put in a birth year that would make you atleast 13. So if anyone under the age of 13 is using Facebook, then it would not be recorded correctly.
