Mobile Phone Growth in Japan
In January 2007, Japan recorded a milestone 100 million mobile phones. In another one year, by January 2008, this number had increased to 100.9 million mobile phones. The number of mobile phones is closely inching towards the country’s population. Japan has 127 million people and 80 percent of its people now own a mobile phone.

A study on the North American mobile phone market reveals that over 60 percent usage of mobile phone internet is on downloads. Firefox Reaches 500 Million Downloads
Firefox has now been downloaded 500,000,000 times. This is a milestone for the browser that now has a regular users base of over 150 million users. The site claims a 17% share in the browser market where Internet Explorer is the market leader.

American Online Retail Projections for 2012
The projections for the US Online retail market has widely differed among the different research agencies. eMarketer projects a $100 billion more in 2012 than in 2007 at $240 billion. Forrester projections stand at $334.7 billion. Jupiter research has however made a conservative estimate of $215 billion.
