With Apple choosing to go with the iOS platform on the iPad, there is little to no chance of us getting to see a Mac OS X based tablet PC anytime in the future. However, if you are keen on running an OS X tablet, you just have your device. Of course, this is illegal from the licensing point of view. But if you are really intent on getting OS X installed, here’s the product.
Axon Logic’s Haptic tablet is compatible with any Darwin OS – that includes Mac OS X. The device runs on a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor and is equipped with a 10-inches 1024×600 LED backlit LCD display with a stylus-supported resistive touchscreen. The tablet comes with a strong storage capacity of up to 320GB and includes other features like a 1.3-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, 3G slot, virtual keyboard, handwriting recognition, built-in speaker and a removable battery with 3000mAh capacity.
Sounds impressive right? But not so with the price. The device will cost you $800 but it you are really enthusiastic about such a device, go ahead and pre-order a unit.
